Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser week brings in record funds!

Founding sponsors, Great Western Brewing and Maple Leaf Consumer Foods, together with Matching Fund sponsor, PotashCorp, are delighted to announce their 19th annual Pancake Breakfast Week Fundraiser exceeded their goal of $32,000 - with all proceeds going to “The Drive for Kids Campaign” to help buy and equip a pediatric ambulance.

The breakfast, which ran July 6th - 10th outside the Great Western brewery, brought in almost $17,000 – with PotashCorp matching all funds to bring the total to over $33,860. Now in it’s 19th year, the Pancake Breakfast Week fundraiser has accumulatively earned over $200,000 for local, deserving non-profits.

“We’ve had an incredible week - our partners, our volunteers, and of course, our community all came together in true prairie fashion to support a truly terrific cause,” said Ron Waldman, President and CEO of Great Western Brewing Company. Waldman added, “To witness every one pulling together for this local initiative is remarkable – we’re really proud to be a part of it.”

About The Drive for Kids Campaign:
The Children’s Health and Hospital Foundation requires a new Pediatric Ambulance to serve and help sick children all over Northern Saskatchewan. The cost of a new Pediatric Ambulance is approximately $225,000 – and the Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser will have raised the final $32,000 required.
